Poly-Functional Epotec® Epoxy Resins contain more than two epoxy groups per molecule and can be described as multifunctional epoxy resins. Presence of high functionality than the standard epoxy resins makes them suitable for very high chemical and high temperature resistance applications. When properly cured, these resins exhibit very good retention of mechanical properties at elevated temperature.

The most widely used poly-functional epoxy resins are those based on Phenol Novolacs. Typical applications include composites, high temperature resistant adhesives, corrosion resistant coatings, industrial maintenance paints, chemical resistant coatings and linings.

 

Phenol Novolac Epoxy Resins

Phenol Novolac Epotec® Epoxy Resins are predominantly suitable for use in performance coatings where resistance to corrosion is of prime importance. These resins are used extensively in protective coatings for re-bar, pipe and chemical resistant coatings.
